We are currently seeking an innovative and driven Video Communications Coordinator to work across the Cricket Victoria Group of brands, including the Melbourne Stars and Bushrangers. This exciting opportunity reports into the External Communications Manager and is a dynamic entry level role for a driven individual.
The Video Communications Coordinator will assist the Cricket Victoria Communications team in the production of news, feature video, written and social media content. This role will service multiple departments within the Cricket Victoria Group, developing content for the Game and Market Development department as well as team communication throughout the season for the Bushrangers and VicSpirit. In BBL season, the role will primarily be focused on producing video/audio content for the Melbourne Stars, for distribution to news media and broadcast onto their digital channels.
Responsibilities will also include and not be limited to:
- Produce, edit and upload video/audio news releases for distribution to networks
- Produce, edit and upload branded video content appropriate for broadcast on vision screens and digital formats
- Produce, edit and upload video highlight packages using supplied match vision
- Drive the creation and distribution of media releases and advisories for the Group
- Assist in concept development, content creation and posting across Cricket Victoria Group’s social media assets
- Update Cricket Victoria Group’s websites using their content management systems
To be successful in this role you will be tertiary qualified in Journalism, Communications or Media, innovative and enthusiastic with an ability to think adaptively outside the square. You must have demonstrated experience in entry level video journalism, including editing skills and an understanding of the communications landscape. An understanding of Cricket in Victoria is also preferred.
This role will be required to work varied hours which will include weekend work and some intrastate travel. A current Australian state or territory driver’s license is mandatory.
