CRICKET JOBS: Summer Cricket Development Officer - Southland Cricket Association (NZ)

We are currently seeking expressions of interest for our Summer Cricket Development Officer Position for the 2016/17 Season.
The fixed term contracted Summer Cricket Development Officer (CDO) will play a vital role within Southland Cricket, delivering school and community based programmes across Southland. The workload of this position is varied and you will be working with a mix of different people and situations. Each day you will be faced with the challenge of utilising your coaching, planning and motivation skills to enthuse and encourage young players to maintain their involvement in the great game of cricket.
This is an outstanding opportunity for you to apply your experience and skills in a cricket specific environment. You will report directly to the General Manager and will work closely with the Cricket Development Officer for Southland.
To be successful in this role you will be:

- Able to demonstrate sound coaching knowledge and experience
- Empathetic towards the needs of young people 5 – 18 years
- Able to demonstrate excellent presentation skills
- An effective communicator
- Well planned, focused and computer literate (sound administration skills)
- Able to deliver high standards of quality customer service
- Absolutely a team player
This role is ideally suited to a current playing cricketer with coaching knowledge and experience. The role is compatible with playing opportunities within the region and flexibility for representative commitments can be provided for the right candidate.
