CRICKET JOBS: Pathway Co-ordinator - Queensland Cricket (Aus)

In conjunction with Cricket Australia, Queensland Cricket (QC) is making a significant investment in updating the structure and resourcing of its processes for identifying and developing potential elite player talent (the Pathway). A significant benefit that will flow from this investment will be the significantly reduced cost of participating in elite underage competitions.
As part of this investment a new position of Pathway Coordinator is being created within QC’s High Performance function reporting to the Talent and Pathways Manager. The role’s key responsibilities will be as follows:
- Manage all of the logistical issues associated with pathway events in Queensland in the areas of travel bookings, accommodation bookings, ground hire, medical coverage, apparel, catering and equipment.
- Ensure all significant workplace health and safety issues associated with pathway events are identified and the associated risks eliminated or mitigated.
- Provide logistical support to the Talent Officers within High Performance both in relation to their attendance at state events and in relation to the organization of pathway events at a local level.
- Manage all of the logistical issues associated with other state based events in Queensland such as the Imparja Cup and Queensland Country Championships etc.
- Work collaboratively with organisations such as the Bulls Masters, Queensland School Sports and Queensland Junior Cricket in the planning and organization of events.
- Ensure revenues resulting from pathway and other events are collected and accounted for.
- Manage pathway and other events in accordance with the agreed financial parameters.
- Provide input to the annual budgeting process with particular regard to the costs associated with pathway and other key events.
- Ensure all invoices associated with pathway and other events are appropriately coded and processed appropriately
- Provide administrative support as required to the High Performance function including the distribution material to stakeholders and maintaining of databases that support coach development.
The successful candidate will have a passion for the game as well as sound administrative, computer and procurement skills. He/she will have the capacity to manage the wide range of logistical issues invariably associated with significant sporting events and a commitment to providing outstanding support and service to those QC employees involved in Pathway activities.
