Title: Overlay and Logistics Coordinator - Australia
Function: Venue Operations
Country: Australia
Location: Melbourne
Job Description
Fourteen countries spanning one fifth of the world’s population will compete for it, and over one billion people will view it via broadcast. The ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 is cricket’s flagship event, which will be jointly hosted by Australia and New Zealand across 14 cities over seven weeks in February and March 2015.
To ensure the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 sets a world class benchmark in sporting event delivery across the two nations, we have built a Local Organising Committee (LOC) of leading professionals in Melbourne (Australia) and Wellington (New Zealand) to help shape the event throughout the full lifecycle.
Based in Melbourne, we are now recruiting for our second Overlay and Logistics Coordinator to join the team. Reporting into the Overlay and Logistics Operations Manager - Australia, this role will be responsible for working closely with internal and external stakeholders to scope and deliver the requirements for Australian Venues across several Host Cities, ensuring each venue is set up and ready to meet the requirements and demands of the Tournament.
Accountabilities will include:
- Documenting overlay requirements through drawings, schedules, sketches and specifications in Australian venues (ensuring they are within budget).
- Preparing Master Delivery Schedules (MDS) documenting the expected shipments and deliveries to and from each venue.
- Work with appointed Freight Forwarder to assist in coordinating all delivery and storage activities.
- Developing integrated programs including commissioning, bump-in, resupply, bump-out and decommissioning.
- Preparation of room and wayfinding signage plans.
- Liaising with contractors, venues and partners to ensure relevant Occupational Health and Safety documentation is in place.
To be considered for this role we are looking for someone with experience scoping event-related overlay and fit-out requirements, strong knowledge of event logistics, and the preparation of Master Delivery Schedules. You should be familiar with the use of venue drawings and the use of PDF mark-up software, as well as have strong project management (including scheduling) ability. Ideally you have strong analysis and reporting skills.
We are looking for a proven ability to deliver complex projects to non-negotiable deadlines, and an exceptional ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with those around you.
This is a great opportunity to join us on a fixed term contract until 31 March 2015, and play an important part in delivering sporting history across Australia and New Zealand. Please apply via our Careers Page at www.cricketworldcup.com/careers including your Cover Letter and Resume in one document.
We will be considering applications as they come in, so please apply online in the first instance.
