CRICKET JOBS: Marketing and Commercial Manager - ICA (UK)

The Marketing & Commercial Manager will develop all commercial aspects of the ICA building the brand and ensuring the organisation is properly represented in the media, at ICA events and in all advertising, PR and promotional collateral, with the key objective of maximising revenues, sponsorship opportunities and the retention and recruitment of all membership categories. He will work closely with the management team, ICA staff and external agencies / affinity partners in order to achieve the organisation’s agreed business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Effective Marketing and Promotion of the ICA
- Planning & management of the ICA Commercial budget
- Press, media relations and PR
- Member Relations and development of ICA membership
- Press Advertising (including selection of media)
- Brochures, leaflets and promotional literature
- Market research and Intelligence
- Retention marketing & loyalty programmes
- Maintain corporate standards and promotion of the ICA
- Find counties/ clubs / leagues all around the world to engage ICA players
- Find clubs in overseas Leagues i.e. IPL, CPL, BPL etc to engage ICA players
- Find more players to add to ICA’s profile
Commercial
- Identify, develop and roll out revenue generating opportunities based on the core functions of the ICA.
- Identify additional relevant opportunities to add to the Association’s existing revenue streams and increase the proportion of income from non-members sources
Sponsorship
- Maximise opportunities for financial support
- Develop on-going marketing and commercial relationships with external parties
Communications
- News Letter - Editorial strategy and timely publication
- ICA Website – Strategy & Development
- Press, TV, Radio and all other media as appropriate
Events Planning & Management
- Ensure all pre and post event publicity is produced to plan
- Design and produce all on-site promotional display material
- Work with Agents/Sponsors/ other teams regarding registered events
Membership Development
- Subscription sales promotion – new members and lapsed
- Membership retention – all categories
- Trade and Club membership development
Skills & Experience Required
Essential:
- Minimum GCSE standard education (degree preferred), ideally with recognized marketing qualification to Diploma level (CIM / IDM)
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience in a membership based organisation. Will have worked in a commercial, sporting or charity-based marketing environment and have proven commercial skills, preferably gained across more than one industry sector.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to present ideas and concepts at all levels with conviction and sound reasoning
- Good people management and motivational experience
- Strong negotiating skills
- Budget management experience
- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks
- Adaptable and flexible so as to cope with the changing needs of the organisation
- Willingness to challenge current business strategies and methods of working with a view to improving member services.
- Good team player
Other information
- Reporting to Director/Manger and working closely with the ICA team. (CC in all e-mails)
- Close collaboration with internal departments regarding all commercial and communications aspects of departmental functions
- External interface with all agencies, marketing partners, sponsors and affiliated organisations as required

Please note right candidate should be able to work on his own initiative, focused and result oriented. Reporting should be done on daily basis.
