1. Job Summary
To provide a full suite of HR services and support to the ECB LOC
To recruit a team of high performing, engaged people responsible for delivering the ICC Tournaments of the Women’s World Cup & Champions Trophy in 2017
2. Role Context/ Organisation Structure
This role will sit in the ECB LOC team whilst retaining a strong link with the ECB People Director and team in order to align processes. The role will need to bridge and align the ECB LOC requirements with those of the ECB.

We anticipate that there is a need to hire circa 35 plus people for the 2017 events.

5. Principal Responsibilities and Accountabilities - Job specific
- Recruit a team of people from scratch which will involve creating job descriptions, benchmarking roles, sourcing, attracting and engaging key talent both within and outside of cricket. Create a social media campaign for recruitment of talent in conjunction with the LOC team
- Manage the full recruitment and on boarding process including preparing interview questions, assessor training, creation of skills matrices, selecting appropriate tools and resources for interview ensuring a fair and consistent process
- Utilising ECB guidelines prepare and administer contracts of employment
- Manage the full induction process and ensure that all new hires align with the ECB LOC principles and the ECB values
- Work closely with the ECB People team to ensure that there is synergy in HR processes, approach and output
- Provide first line support for line managers and employees queries in the ECB LOC
- Work with the MD ICC CWC 2019 and the ECB people team on salary reviews, benefits and reward and the full employee life cycle ensuring fairness, consistency and parity with the ECB approach
- Drive engagement across the ECB LOC goals working closely with the ECB people team, demonstrating the core value of “stronger as one team”
Person Specification
CIPD qualified
- Experience of administering and overseeing large-scale recruitment
- A generalist with skills and experience across the whole HR spectrum
- Current and working knowledge of Employment Law
- Positive communicator who is able to influence at a senior level
- Highly organised with good attention to detail
- Excellent telephone and face-to-face communication skills
- Good standard of IT skills; proficient in MS office applications
- Able to work on own initiative – confident self-starter
- Demonstrable experience of prioritising and managing a large workload
- High levels of tact, diplomacy and confidentiality
- Able to display good judgement and to make tough decisions
- Ability to encourage and motivate others, creating trust and a feeling of being valued
- Creative – able to deliver initiatives which drive engagement
- A can-do attitude – ready to roll up sleeves and get on with the job required.
