Background: The Yorkshire County Cricket Club is the most successful cricket club in the English county game and are current champions of the LV= County Championship. We are currently looking for someone to join our busy Hospitality & Events Department as a Hospitality & Events Executive to assist in the sales and delivery aspect of all domestic and international matches for the 2015 season and also our calendar or events throughout the year.

The role reports directly to the Hospitality & Events Manager and is available on a seven-month fixed term basis. Some evening and weekend work will also be required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maximising revenue by effectively managing existing databases and looking for opportunities to grow databases.
• Responding to enquiries and requests for information from other organisations and members of the public.
• Carrying out administrative duties using systems and processes relevant to the organisation including that of booking confirmation forms and event agendas.
• Assisting with the despatch of ticket and information packs to a variety of clients including hospitality customers.
• Assisting in the account management of major clients and customers.
• Attend match days and at such events cover off all aspects as required with partners, sponsors, hospitality guests and members of the media as required.
• Providing support and assistance with event setup and management.
• Supporting other members of the Commercial Department as required from time to time at the request of your line manager.
• Help to generate possible new business through cold and warm calls and attend sales meetings.

Specification:

• Educated or currently studying to degree level in a relevant subject area .
• Previous experience in working in a sports, events or hospitality environment is essential.
• Passionate about hospitality, events and good customer service.
• Able to communicate confidently at all levels with other members of staff, suppliers and customers.
• Be able to work as part of a team but also have the ability to work on own initiative.
• Flexible approach to work.
• Experience with Audience View ticketing software would be preferable.
• Smartly presented at all times.
