CRICKET JOBS: Graphic Designer - ECB (UK)

The ECB is responsible for the growth of the game of cricket in England & Wales, and has a role in promoting the game to fans.
An opportunity has arisen within the Marketing team for a Graphic Designer. This new role will be based at Lord’s Cricket Ground.
Initially, the role will be integral to implementing the We Are England Cricket brand design, and the NatWest T20 Blast. The majority of the volume of work will involve updating and amending existing artwork for various marketing communication campaigns in accordance with brand guidelines, across our social and digital channels. The successful candidate will also be responsible for adapting consumer facing campaign creative and design layouts, web banners, posters and commercial presentations that have a high visual impact, in addition to producing quality internal communication assets.
Although not an immediate priority, over time there is scope within this role to shape, lead and develop a small design team to service requirements across the organisation.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for a candidate with experience of managing and coordinating graphic material within a fast paced and changeable environment. The ability to prioritise and manage expectations productively is vital. We will put in place simple processes to manage traffic but we need you to lead on this area – manage as well as create. We require candidates with competence in a range of software packages listed below and at least 3-4 years’ experience in a similar role. You must be educated to degree level, or equivalent, in graphic design or similar and have high attention to detail.
Experience in sport is not vital, but a strong understanding of cricket is preferable. We will consider people with a background in other areas – e.g. music / events / festivals as well as sport. We want brand or agency experience, from a candidate who also has an ability to provide creative ideas and concepts which are outside the box.
The competencies which are required include:
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role
- A degree in graphic design or equivalent
- A natural creative flair
- Experience of working within a pressurised environment
- A genuine passion with experience of high end design
- Impeccable attention to detail
- Highly organised team player
You must also have competence with the following software packages;
- Adobe Creative Cloud for Mac (InDesign. Illustrator & Photoshop)
- Adobe After Effects (useful though not essential)
- Microsoft PowerPoint
- Keynote
- Understanding of HTML Code
