Cricket Tasmania is the governing body of cricket in Tasmania promoting and developing the game throughout the state. As a unique and iconic sporting organisation Cricket Tasmania has responsibility for all aspects of the sport within Tasmania from junior cricket and coaching programs right through to professional players, coaches and umpires.
Cricket Tasmania has an exciting opportunity for a Game Development Officer to join our Game Development team. Based in Hobart and reporting to the Regional Cricket Manager - South you will work with the Game Development team to facilitate the promotion, organisation and development of Tasmanian cricket to the assigned Southern region of Tasmania.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Engaging with various stakeholders
- Building and developing relationships with Associations, Clubs and Schools to increase participation in male and female cricket at all levels
- Promoting development and enjoyment of all forms of cricket
- Increasing sustainable participation in male and female cricket
- Implementing a broad range of Cricket Tasmania and Cricket Australia programs for male and female cricket across schools and communities
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Knowledge and experience of sport development program
- Stakeholder management, relationship building and communication skills
- Presentation, written and verbal communication skills
- Well-developed planning and organisational skills
- Ability to attend after hours and weekend clinics, meetings and events
- Current driver’s license
- Tertiary qualifications in sports management, teaching, marketing or similar (advantageous but not essential)
