Morgan Media Centre, the Ground offers a dazzling array of possibilities for events of all types.
An exciting opportunity has arisen within our catering department for a food procurement assistant to work alongside the kitchen team & food procurement analyst to assist in the continuing delivery of meeting & events, hospitality, & match day food & whilst maintaining the high standards that are expected by guests of Lord’s.
The role varies greatly day to day as the kitchen team caters for small, private events up to international matches. Key duties placing food orders & managing all food stock management & controls whilst working in an exciting and motivating environment. The role will also be to assist the food procurement analyst with effective stock management & the kitchen team with food distribution & allocation ensuring adherence to the Club and legislative hygiene and safety standards.
Required skills and experience
With a passion for delivering exceptional service, the ideal candidate will have gained his or her experience in multi-site site operation, working closely with a large & diverse team. Experience in financial food controls & food procurement is essential. Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills are also required. A sound knowledge of excel, word & Level 2 or 3 in Food Hygiene is also required. A formal catering qualification would also be desired
An ability to prioritise and organise workloads – Significant flexibility is required for attendance on match days and working extended hours, including weekends.
