Cricket Australia (CA) is one of the nation’s premier sporting bodies, with the vision for Cricket to be Australia’s favourite sport. The KFC T20 Big Bash League (BBL) has experienced enormous success in its first three seasons, and the opportunity exists to join the team responsible for managing the delivery of the league. Contested by eight teams with new and unique identities, the BBL provides Australian Cricket with the opportunity to build a new generation of passionate cricket fans.
The BBL Fan Engagement Specialist role is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to engage and grow the BBL’s supporter base. The role will ensure that the BBL continues to acquire new fans, with a focus on women, young adults, and families.
Working closely with the BBL Clubs and internal CA departments, you will lead the development and implementation of fan and community engagement strategies, identify and share best practice fan engagement, and become the champion for putting fans at the centre of all BBL initiatives.
You are ideally tertiary qualified in marketing and have significant experience in the delivery of sport or entertainment experiences. Alternatively, you have worked in sponsorship and activations, with a strong understand of setting and delivering on marketing strategy. An understanding of membership services and fan engagement through digital media would be a distinct advantage.
