CRICKET JOBS: Event Director - NZ Cricket (NZ)

We have a vacancy for an Events Director, reporting to the GM Commercial. This is a new full time role based at our Support Services Office in Auckland.
The Events Director will work with our Commercial, Marketing and Communications teams to oversee the end to end delivery of all NZC events, ensuring compelling, innovative and fan friendly events. This includes maximising the value of NZC events and working closely with our delivery partners (Major Associations and other key stakeholders such as government agencies and local councils) to ensure that all events deliver against NZC’s strategic plan.
The ideal applicant will have:
- A tertiary qualification
- Proven experience and success in a senior event management role (preferably but not necessarily sports) with overall responsibility from event conceptualisation to delivery
- Experience of working with government, councils (or similar), international sporting bodies and other agencies, understanding their drivers for events and presenting compelling cases for supporting events and initiatives.
- Ability to demonstrate innovation in event delivery
- Developed and implemented event risk management frameworks
- Strong management skills and a demonstrated leadership ability
