CRICKET JOBS: Development Officer - Cumbria CB (UK)

A Full time position is available with Cumbria Cricket Ltd.
You will be involved in the School, Club Development, and Player Pathway (Community Programmes) within a proactive and forward-thinking Cricket Company. The role will be responsible for the Community Programme in Cumbria and in part deliver the company’s strategic outcomes.
This includes working within:
- Lead up our All Inclusive Disability strategy concentrating on growth of Table Cricket & Physical Disability participation
- Primary and Secondary Schools-Chance to Shine- Management and delivery of C2S
- Player Pathway- Management of area coaches, delivery of coaching sessions, administration of player pathway information. May also include role within County Team
- Barrow Area Development Group- vital communication channel for recreational cricket
- Adult Participation- Retain and Recruit players through Indoor leagues. Administration and delivery (potential) players and coaches.
- Development Courses- development course delivery, using website booking system and marketing/selling all courses.
- Club and Leagues Link- Working with and supporting all clubs and Leagues in Cumbria.
You should have proven experience of working within a school environment, holding a minimum of UKCC 2 or ECB level 2 Cricket Coaching qualifications and it would be desirable to have experience in delivering Multi Skill sessions. You should have a good knowledge of working with I.T. and in particular Word, Excel, Access, Outlook and PowerPoint. Excellent communication, organisation, planning and administrative skills are essential as is the ability to work on your own initiative or as part of a team. You will need to demonstrate a capacity for hard work and be able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekend work.
An understanding of CC Ltd’s Outcomes is essential, and a good knowledge of the recreational cricket infrastructure in Cumbria is desirable. Experience of working in the All Inclusive Disability area is desirable. Knowledge of school delivery programme, including the Chance to Shine programme and understanding of school sports structures in the county is important.
A competitive salary is available and the Company recognises excellent performance though a performance related pay scheme.
The role will involve working in various parts of the County. Applicants must hold a full driving licence, have access to transport.
The successful candidate will require enhanced ECB DBS clearance, membership of ECB Coaches Association, up to date Safeguarding & Protecting Children and First Aid qualifications.

Essentials & Desirables
Essential Qualifications:
Cricket experience
Must hold UKCC 2 or ECB Level 2 or above qualification
Be a member of ECB Coaches Association
Must be DBS (CRB) checked
Experience of coaching in schools on a Cricket Board programme, including Chance to Shine programmes
Must have up to date first aid and Safeguarding and Protecting Children certificates
Experience of Coaching within a County Age Group squad or Area Cricket Squad
Clean driving licence and own a car
Available to attend all coaching and fixtures
Knowledge & understanding of Play-Cricket website
Knowledge & understanding of Cumbria Cricket Ltd’s business outcomes
Knowledge & understanding of ECB’s strategy to get more people playing in teams more frequently
Desirable
Leading and coaching on all inclusive & disabled people programmes & activities, including table cricket delivery.
Working as a Sports Development Officer
ECB Club Coach or UkCC3 qualified
ECB tutor
Attendance at coach development workshops and conferences.
We would require the individual to have good management, organisation, and administration skills and be IT literate.
