CRICKET JOBS: Community Cricket Officers - Yorkshire CB (UK)

Applications are invited to join the team at Yorkshire Cricket Board as Community Cricket Officers covering the East Yorkshire area and the Halifax & Huddersfield area.

These are two new posts for which applicants will need a sound knowledge and understanding of recreational cricket; coaching experience with schools, cricket clubs and community groups; a commitment to increase player participation at all levels; proven administrative, marketing and managerial ability; and good communication skills.

The posts are managed and funded by Yorkshire Cricket Board through the Chance to Shine Programme with the successful applicants being required to work directly with local schools, community groups and cricket clubs. Applicants will need to be energetic and enthusiastic and will be joining an established and successful team.

A key focus will be to launch club and school Chance to Shine cricket programmes to engage and retain young people in sport and cricket. Playing and coaching experience, with a
UK Level 2 qualifications are essential criteria for these posts.

The post is for 37 hours a week, for an initial contract of one year commencing October or as soon as possible.
