CRICKET JOBS: CDO - Cornwall Cricket (UK)

Salary – (£18,000 - £22,000) Hours: 37 hours per week (flexible)
To coordinate and deliver key aspects of the player pathway from the management and delivery of Chance to Shine, player retention programmes and disability cricket and supporting the wider club network.
2. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- To manage and deliver programmes which are aligned to CCB Ltd annual budget.
- To manage and deliver Chance to Shine programmes supporting player pathway outcomes.
- To work with primary and secondary schools to create strong working links with the club network.
- To manage and deliver player retention programmes aimed at retaining and increasing adult participation.
- To support in the development and recruitment of volunteers within the wider club network.
- To support in the development and delivery of Disability cricket across the county.
- To manage and deliver ClubMark in accordance with the CCB Ltd key annual outcomes
- To support and deliver in the development structure to enhance the cricket opportunities for talented club junior players.
- To coach a Representative age group.
- To support and deliver in a programme of 1:1 coaching.
- To work closely with the organizing bodies of cricket in Cornwall, CCB Ltd,
Cornwall Schools Cricket Association, Cornwall Youth Cricket league and the clubs, Cornwall Association of Cricket Coaches, to achieve CCB outcomes and to provide specialist support at all levels.
- To work with the Cornwall Sports Partnership, England and Wales Cricket Board and Local Authorities Sports Development Officers in the development of cricket opportunities.
- To provide reports to key partners on delivery and developments.
- To manage budgets and keep accurate financial accounts within the areas of work.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety legislation and associated codes of practice of the CCB, Authorities, Partners and NGB
3. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Essential
- Minimum of UKCC2 qualification

- First Aid, Safeguarding Young Cricketers trained or a commitment to achieving within a short period of time.
- A valid NGB DBS vetting check.
- Excellent administration skills with evidence of project work.
- Computer literate and an effective user of Excel, Word and Power Point.
- Highly motivated to develop players and cricket
- Good communicator.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Excellent leadership skills.
- The ability to work as a member of a team and on an individual basis.
- The ability to travel independently to and from sites.
- Understanding of the Chance to Shine scheme.
- Understanding and experience of the ECB ClubMark Accreditation scheme.
- Understanding of partnership working and showing an ability to make links with contacts throughout the county.
- Understanding of club to school links and cricket development pathways.
- The desire to develop as an individual.
Desirable
Knowledge of the National Curriculum. ClubMark Nominated Officer trained or a commitment to achieving this within a short period of time. Knowledge of fundraising.
4. SUPERVISION AND WORK PLANNING
The post holder will be employed by the Cornwall Cricket Board Ltd on a permanent contract subject to meeting agreed annual targets. The post will be line managed by the Cricket Development Manager and based at the Cornwall Cricket Centre, Truro.

The post holder will be expected to work evenings and weekends as and when required.
