National Team Assistant Coach
Applications are invited for the position of National Team Assistant Coach which have fallen vacant.
1. FOCUS OF ROLE
The Zimbabwe National Team Assistant Coach will assist the National Team Coach in various aspects of the training programme, as directed by the Coach. The Assistant Coach will also be responsible for the following:
1.1. Executing appropriate coaching techniques during training and practice sessions.
1.2. Planning, conducting and evaluating cricket coaching programmes.
1.3. Integrating sports science into coaching programmes as dictated by current trends.
1.4. Analysing and evaluating players’ playing techniques.
1.5. Ensuring players are disciplined and committed to the game; conducting themselves in a professional manner.
1.6. Preparing and submitting a comprehensive monthly report to the National Team Coach, which includes aspects of preparation, tours and outcomes.
1.7. The National Team Assistant Coach will also offer services as a Franchise Coach during the Franchise season.
2. THE PERSON
Candidates must have the following:
2.1. A recognised Advanced Level Coaching Certificate – at least at Level Two – and have a minimum of 2 years working experience.
2.2. The ability to encourage a high performance environment and foster a culture of professionalism.
2.3. The ability to inspire, instruct and motivate people.
2.4. Interest in formulating an effective playing philosophy and style.
2.5. Excellent interpersonal, organisational and planning skills.
2.6. The ability to be a leader and a team player.
