U13/U15 Western Warriors Head Coach

REPORTS TO: WACA Committee

1.    Purpose of the Job:

• To help deliver the Area Cricket programme at a designated age group, including session planning, preparation and delivery of training/coaching sessions and game preparation, as outlined by SCB/England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) directives;
• Being available to attend relevant Area trials, training/coaching sessions and cricket games, and contribute on the appropriate selection of players for your age group squad and games, in conjunction with the Area Coaching Team
• Maintaining a good working relationship with all Area Cricket staff and players in order to support & promote the WACA’S needs.
• Ensuring the appropriate codes of conduct are followed by officials, players and volunteers alike;
• Promoting, wherever possible, the profile of the WACA, the players & the game of Cricket as a whole.
• Development of existing and new members to the Area Coaching Team

• U11 West Area Head Coach
• District and County Coaches
• SCCC Pro Department
• WACA Committee
• CDM for The SCB

3.    Knowledge and Experience:

• Minimum UKCC Level 3
• Up to date ECB CRB Disclosure & First Aid Qualification & Safeguarding & Protecting Children
• Up to date Membership of ECBCA
• Enthusiasm and understanding of the need for Area Cricket
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

4.    Expenses:

• Coaches will be paid at the following rates for coaching sessions
• UKCC Level 3                 £20 / hr
• These fees are to include travel up to 20 miles each way; Mileage rate after 20 miles will be 40p per mile
